A CLOSER LOOK AT THE iPHONE 5S FINGERPRINT SCANNER

Biometrics have become a part of our daily lives in many ways than one and to have them on our smartphones wouldn't be such a bad idea. Apple as its their custom to set trends when it comes to revolutionary smartphone features and hardware have begun to chart this course, other manufactures such as Samsung have flirted with the idea with rumours that we might be getting a fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy Note III set to be announced later in Q4 of this year but they have since rescinded that decision for logistics reasons.

Apple can barely hide developments they are working on these days, different information about the upcoming iPhone 5S and 5C have leaked all over the internet, this is a new trend from Apple and i'm beginning to believe it might be a marketing stunt of some sort to get people excited about the phones, if that is their plan though i congratulate them because its working, i have been intrigued by the changes Apple recently brought to iOS 7, the new features are a breath of fresh air and if this fingerprint scanner thing pans out, Apple might have just gotten themselves a new convert.

There have been various leaks proposing the presence of a fingerprint scanner on the upcoming iPhone but we have refrained from posting anything on the rumour until we were certain it wasn't a flash in the pan.Although its not much, this recent schematics is the closest proof we have gotten to confirm the presence of a fingerprint scanner on the iPhone 5S, as you can see in the picture below, The fingerprint scanner is believed to be ideally placed in the home button and there have been little changes to the design of the bezel around this area when compared to the previous iPhone 5. Apple have shaved off part of the bezel around the end of the phone to accommodate a modified mounting point with one edge shaved down for the Home button proposedly pregnant with the Fingerprint Scanner.

Although we can't guarantee there would be a fingerprint scanner in the upcoming iPhone 5S, what we can do is keep you updated on the possibility of this so don't forget to follow us on twitter @Technerdng and subscribe to our blog for Speedy updates.

Apple announced iOS 7 at WWDC this week. Today we bring you an in depth Review of the OS. Many iPhone and iOS users have been clamouring for a fresh breath of air in the look and feel of iOS. iOS 7 is already bein touted by apple as the biggest break away from the norm since it announced its first generation iPhone back in 2007. Personally I think the comparison is a little far fetched because most of the functions are already available on other platforms like windows phone and Android. I have included snapshots of the iOS 7 key functions. However let's take a look at the goodies....... LOCK SCREEN: the new lock screen takes the personality of your wallpaper. Its not a far departure from what's available on android jellybean. HOME SCREEN This is the new home screen in iOS 7. Apple redesigned all of its icons for this major update, including Mail, Settings, iTunes, Game Center, Photos, Safari and more. NOTIFICATION CENTER The new Notification Center in iOS 7, activated by...

The Tecno Phantom A1 was released a few weeks ago, it received rave reviews and was being compared to the Samsung Galaxy S3 its critically acclaimed as the best budget Smartphone in the market. I've decided to do this review now as the buzz around the phone has reduced and a review can be done in a cooler atmosphere and without sentiments. OVERVIEW Starting with the packaging, Tecno has really improved with the packaging and presentation of this phone. it comes in a glossy box with all the spec details of the phone printed on the back. Out of the box, it comes with a set of earphones, usb cab...
